What to Expect from Your Visit

NAPO-GA Chapter meetings are designed to enhance the knowledge base of the membership, to provide an opportunity for collaboration, and to elevate the standards and ethics of the profession – also to enjoy a great dinner. Our meetings begin with introductions and announcements. Next, you’ll have an opportunity to say hello to the group; let us know who you are, what prompted your visit, and where you are in your career. We’ll have some networking time and reconvene to hear the Program Speaker – a presentation designed to educate about a specific area or topic pertinent to the organizing and productivity profession. Whether you are a veteran or a “newbie,” you’ll find collaboration, camaraderie and support.

If you’re visiting as a Business Partner, keep in mind that NAPO-GA Chapter meetings are an opportunity for the members to collaborate, learn and network – not to be sold to. The meetings are unlike traditional networking meetings. Although you will be introduced to the chapter, you may not have the opportunity to elaborate as much as you do in a more familiar, purely networking setting. Come with the plan to observe the meeting and the dynamic between the members and the Business Partners to see if it’s a good fit for your business.

Please Note: The Roundtable discussion preceding the Chapter Meeting is for Members only. It is an informal meeting where relevant topics are discussed as they relate to the productivity/organizing industry. There are “guest speakers,” generally NAPO-GA members and Business Partners, who have expertise or experience in some aspect of organizing or running a small business. In addition, there are one or two book discussions per year, covering topics of interest to productivity and organizing professionals. Topics are posted a week before the meeting so members can make their plans to attend.

NAPO COVID In-Person Meeting Policy February 2023

Effective February 2023, NAPO will no longer require proof of vaccination status or a negative test result to attend an NAPO in-person meeting or event. Mask-wearing at NAPO meetings and events is encouraged but will be optional.

Instead, NAPO expects attendees to take responsibility themselves for following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and their local health officials, on measures to reduce infection from COVID-19 and to protect against severe complications. NAPO urges all members to follow the CDC’s recommendation that everyone over age 12 receive the updated bivalent vaccine as soon as they are eligible to do so (e.g., 2 months past their last shot).

For more information, please review the guidelines at:

    https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/stay-up-to-date.html

Attendees who are not up-to-date on vaccinations are asked to take an at-home COVID-19 rapid antigen test before traveling to any NAPO meeting and should not attend if they test positive or have symptoms of COVID-19. NAPO will not be requiring proof of these measures, however, but calls on the NAPO community to act responsibly and with consideration for the health and safety of others.

NAPO Meetings & Events Entry Policy is subject to change based on COVID-19 community levels and any updated guidance from CDC and/or federal or state officials in localities hosting a NAPO in-person meeting or event. Guidance on COVID-19 is continually updated, and NAPO appreciates the understanding of its stakeholders as we seek to provide valuable, timely in-person programming while prioritizing the health and safety of attendees.
